I’m talking about you. oldie, newbie, follower, non-follower, and mutual], the following media/fandom will be continuously flowing throughout. because I am that Random, That Very Much Fandom, and Oh So Chaotic in my hyperfixations.

  • Random Book/Library/Hotel/Food/Library/City Aesthetics [yes yes little ol’ basic me. I don’t do IG but I love me some tumblr visual aesthetics.]
  • Random Nostalgic Media that brings me lots of joy - [because why would I hurt myself with (re)blogging things I don’t enjoy. granted yes I reblog certain media the hurts my heart, but there is a difference between HURTS REALLY BADLY vs. HURTS SO GOOD]
  • Random Kdramas: everything from the ones I used to and sometimes still because COMFORT obsess over… to newer ones [from Twenty Five Twenty One to My Liberation Notes aka me simping over Kim Ji Won for the next two months or so].
  • Random Comfort TV: The Mandalorian, Julie and the Phantoms, The West Wing, The Newsroom, Community, White Collar, Burn Notice - [random shows I adore and have been revisiting as of late because COMFORT TV.]
  • Currently Airing Shows: iCarly (revival) [because apparently it is now cool to proclaim myself as a Creddie shipper? no but in all seriousness HOW HAS JERRY TRAINOR NOT AGE? and also it’s a genuinely funny show], 911 Fox/911 Lone Star [because my comfort firefighters/EMTS are back! and causing more shenanigans than ever!], The Rookie [it’s all about the Tim/Lucy ship at this point], Home Economics [listen LISTEN after being burned by Modern Family, honestly this show is a BLESSING], How I Met Your Father [because the original burned me so bad OF COURSE I’D INSTANTLY LOVE THE NEW ONE], Superman and Lois Season 2 [Yo… two seasons in and still yet that show has NO RIGHT TO BE THAT GOOD], The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel [like any good reasons for me to watch a show: it’s about that ship that is Midge and Lenny and GODDAMN Luke Kirby has no right to be that tragically beautiful as Lenny Bruce!] and now The Cleaning Lady [because listen CHECK OUT THE SHIP THAT IS ARMAN AND THONY and you’ll see why I’m obsessed].
  • MCU/Marvel - [… okay this is me proclaiming myself as that Marvel Loving Asshole. I am a WEAK MARVEL BITCH.]
  • Random Recommendation Lists [Some are lists of recs that I like to keep track of for my personal gain, others are because I know some of my followers also would appreciate the recs as well!]

And like it was stated on prior pinned posts, of course because my blog is THAT random, there will be other content old and new, fiction and non fictional that will be peppered in throughout. some non-fandom reblogs [because while I want to try to keep this blog 95% fandom related, I live in this (beautiful and flawed and utterly fucked up) world too and unfortunately I can’t always escape the reality we live in] and posts about Hawaii [because it is my homestate and I am quite fond of our little island home…]  Thank you visiting my little corner of this bluehellscape and hopefully you’ll stick around!

That conversation right there [which was had prior couple weeks ago when JW noticed BY was having a difficult time] PLUS THIS MOMENT THAT I HAD TO SCREENCAP [which couldn’t truly do the scene itself justice] is why I will forever be on the YE LINE when it comes to who I ship BY with.

From the start, JW has always ALWAYS had BY’s back. Before he started having feelings for her, JW always saw the good in BY and made sure that she knew her worth even when she didn’t realize it much. He valued her as a person, as a colleague, then as a friend, and [when he finally allowed himself to feel] then as a romantic partner.  They’ve had moments together where words were exchanged to give meaning to their relationship.

But this moment right here is one of my top favorites. Why?  

Because he saw that she was still feeling sad (and emotionally struggling with the task of having to be the PT in charge of someone she professionally admired) thus in realizing her sadness, WITH NO WORDS EXCHANGED, JW took a chair near and made his comforting presence known to her. 

The beauty of this moment didn’t need words. Their relationship that has a cornerstone in – ironically – poetry, by meaningful words, is strengthened more in that one silent understanding.  

If I didn’t believe that they were endgame before, THIS MOMENT SOLIDIFIED IT FOR ME.

Lockwood takes care of her wound for her and patches her up. Lucy helps him through his panic attack and snaps him out of it.

Besides the fact that they heal each other and all of the intimate touches involved (fingers lightly intertwined, him weaving his fingers through her hair while she cradles his neck and face etcetera), I also love the slight subversion of gender roles. It’s Lockwood who nurses Lucy, when usually it’s the other way around. At the same time it’s Lockwood who becomes emotional and suffers a panic attack while Lucy grounds him.

I’ve seen a lot of praise for the Netflix Lockwood and co. adaptation. I haven’t read the books, enjoyed the show. Lots of people already said a lot of positive things about this series concerning plot, characters, and so on that I largely agree with

You know what hasn’t really been talked about?

How BRIGHT and WELL LIT everything is. Like, this show mostly happens at night, with characters running around with torches to see anything, because their job has to be done during the night.

But I can still SEE EVERYTHING.

I noticed that in the graveyard scenes especially. The sky is pitch black, we know it’s the middle of the night. But the grass in green and I can SEE IT.

Love them for not going down the path of GOT, DC, and so many more. Of saying “well, it’s the middle of the night, so nobody can see anything, and neither can the audience”.

Instead they went “we told our audience it’s the middle of the night, we’re showing it to them, but we’re also giving them the opportunity to see what actually happens on screen”.

Amazing.
